Objective: The primary goal of a public health system is to ensure universal access to high-quality medical care. However, disparities in health outcomes have been observed across socio-demographic groups, some of them potentially related to their geographical location. Background: As one of the eight clinical pathways of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) Masters Program, the Foregut Pathway includes laparoscopic fundoplication as an anchoring procedure. In this article, the SAGES Foregut Committee presents focused summaries of the top 10 seminal articles selected for laparoscopic fundoplication which surgeons performing this procedure should be familiar with.
Methods: A systematic literature search was performed by a research librarian using Web of Science and Google Scholar.

However, their occurrence and clinical implications in patients with solid tumors remain underexplored. Background: Training in endoscopy has traditionally been based upon an apprenticeship model, where novices develop their skills on real patients under the supervision of experienced endoscopists. In an effort to prioritise patient safety, simulation training has emerged as a means to allow novices to practice in a risk-free environment. This is the second update of the review, which was first published in 2012 and updated in 2018.
