The study aimed to translate and validate the Chinese version of the Birth Satisfaction Scale-Revised Indicator (C-BSS-RI) and assess its psychometric properties. Conducted from April to August 2023 at three hospitals in Nantong, China, it included 824 mothers. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a two-factor structure with eigenvalues greater than 1, explaining 63.384% of the variance. Confirmatory factor analysis showed good model fit with the Chi-square/Df (χ/Df) ratio = 1.511, root mean square error of approximation = 0.035, comparative fit index = 0.989, tucker-lewis index = 0.979, and normed fit index = 0.968. The C-BSS-RI demonstrated strong convergent validity with significant correlations between the total score and satisfaction questions. Divergent validity was confirmed by non-significant correlations between the Quality of Care sub-scale and maternal age. The C-BSS-RI total score showed significant negative correlations with measures of postpartum depression, anxiety, and stress, supporting the association between birth satisfaction and postpartum psychological states. Known-groups discriminant validity was confirmed with significant differences in C-BSS-RI scores across different modes of delivery. The internal consistency of the total scale was α = 0.76, the Stress of Childbearing sub-scale was α = 0.74, and the Quality of Care sub-scale was α = 0.66, indicating good reliability. The C-BSS-RI is a reliable and valid tool for assessing birth satisfaction among Chinese women.

Background: Poor recovery of active glenohumeral external rotation (aGHER) after brachial plexus birth injury (BPBI) is common. Late spinal accessory nerve to infraspinatus motor branch (SAN-IS) transfer has been reported as effective. We investigated its efficacy in children over 4 years with BPBI.

The beneficial impacts of civic participation on health are reported for adolescents and older adults. Still, civic participation is underrecognized in its potential to promote a wide range of well-being. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between civic participation in early adulthood and midlife well-being for a 1980 birth sample of minority youth who were economically disadvantaged and explore education as a mediator of such associations.

Background: Despite evidence that mothers-in-law (MILs) influence daughters-in-law's (DILs) fertility and family planning decisions in South Asia, emphasizing early fertility and male grandchildren, few reproductive health interventions engage MILs directly.
Objectives: We assessed the feasibility, acceptability, and qualitative impact of a reproductive health and life skill-based intervention on MILs in tribal Rajasthan, India, using a mixed-methods, single-group cluster pilot study.
Methods: We tested a light-touch four-session intervention delivered over 4 months to MILs of newly married women that covered MILs' health, conception, and communication with DILs and sons and addressed modern healthcare misconceptions, while challenging son preference and fertility norms.

Gender dysphoria is a condition characterized by distress due to a mismatch between a person's gender identity and their assigned gender at birth. This study aimed to compare sexual satisfaction and complication rates in patients undergoing feminizing gender affirming surgery (fem-GAS) using two techniques: standard penile inversion vaginoplasty (PIV) and robotic peritoneal vaginoplasty (RPGAV). We conducted a retrospective analysis data from a prospective registry (2017-2022).
