Article Abstract

Rainfall data availability is a basis of climate analysis and application, but its spatial distribution based on observed rainfall at local scale remains a research challenge. A spatially distributed rainfall at a finer resolution is the foundation for coping uncertain climate change and water resource planning and management. Here, we established a daily grid dataset for observed rainfall of West Java, Indonesia. The data were 1991-2020 at daily resolution from 162 rain gauges covering various terrains and climate zone, which were monitored by (BMKG). We used the inverse distance weighting (IDW) approach to spatially interpolate rainfall at grid resolution. In addition, timeseries of monthly and annual rainfall were generated from the daily dataset. Further, the spatial rainfall data useful for identifying local climate, adaptation strategy for hydro-meteorological hazard, and water resource planning.

Although vector-borne diseases like ST require both a One Health approach and a spatiotemporal perspective to fully understand their complex dynamics, previous studies have often lacked integrated analyses that simultaneously address disease dynamics, vectors, and environmental shifts.

Objective: We aimed to explore spatiotemporal trends, high-risk areas, and risk factors of ST by simultaneously incorporating host and environmental information.

Quantum-Size Effect Induced Andreev Bound States in Ultrathin Metallic Islands Proximitized by a Superconductor.

While Andreev bound states (ABSs) have been realized in engineered superconducting junctions, their direct observation in normal metal-superconductor heterostructures-enabled by quantum confinement-remains experimentally elusive. Here, we report the detection of ABSs in ultrathin metallic islands (Bi, Ag, and SnTe) grown on the s-wave superconductor NbN. Using high-resolution scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy, we clearly reveal in-gap ABSs with energies symmetric about the Fermi level.
