Cardiogenic shock in the setting of a ruptured papillary muscle can be extremely challenging to manage. We report two cases of successful and safe hemodynamic optimization with a modern axial-flow temporary left ventricular assist device, the Impella 5.5, prior to mitral valve replacement for this indication.

Importance: Recent longitudinal studies in patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) suggested that aneurysm wall enhancement (AWE) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) predicts growth and rupture. However, because these studies were limited by small sample size and short follow-up duration, it remains unclear whether this radiological biomarker has predictive value for UIA instability.
Objective: To determine the 4-year risk of instability of UIAs with AWE and investigate whether AWE is an independent predictor of UIA instability.

Background: Lateral meniscal oblique radial tears (LMORTs) of the posterior horn typically occur in the setting of an acute anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture. Despite publications pertaining to the prevalence, biomechanics, and surgical repair techniques of LMORTs, studies reporting mid-term outcomes after LMORT repair are lacking.
Purpose: To examine both clinical and functional outcomes after the surgical repair of LMORTs.

Introduction: The management of cerebral aneurysms in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) faces significant barriers, including limited access to specialized neurosurgical care and equipment and dissipating human resources. Ghana's inaugural experience with cerebral aneurysm clipping, facilitated by the Global Brainsurgery Initiative (GBI), represent an attempt to address these challenges through international collaboration.
Methods: This case series details the outcomes of six patients who underwent cerebral aneurysm clipping procedures at two neurosurgical centers.
