Article Abstract

Objectives: To validate and assess the interrater agreement on a novel classification system for reporting adverse events.

Methods: A cross-sectional review of adverse events recorded from 2019 to 2023 of 211 patient cases within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at a tertiary care center. Three raters (one attending and two resident physicians) were recruited to classify these cases according to two classification systems, Clavien Dindo Classification (CDC) and the new classification system, Quality Improvement Classification System (QICS).

Results: The three raters graded 211 patient cases using CDC and QICS, and the interrater reliability was determined and reported as Cronbach's Alpha and Fleiss κ: CDC (α = 0.902, κ = 0.578) and QICS (α = 0.963, κ = 0.799). A strong interrater concordance was observed for both classification systems.

Conclusion: The novel QICS method for categorizing adverse events has high interrater reliability and is comparable to the well-validated CDC classification. This novel system allows expanded classification to include outpatient settings and is well-suited to otolaryngology.

Objective: This study aims to systematically evaluate the inter- and intra-observer agreement regarding lesions with uncertain malignancy potential in Ga-68 PSMA PET/CT imaging of prostate cancer patients, utilizing the PSMA-RADS 2.0 classification system, and to emphasize the malignancy evidence associated with these lesions.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed Ga-68 PSMA PET/CT images of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer via histopathology between December 2016 and November 2023.

Population genetics plays a critical role in creating policies for managing fisheries, conservation, and development of aquaculture. The golden snapper, Lutjanus johnii (Bloch, 1792), is a highly commercial and aquaculture important snapper species. This study used mitochondrial markers D-loop (151 specimens) and Cytochrome b (Cyt-b, 120 specimens) from 10 populations, including populations from the east South China Sea, the west South China Sea and the Strait of Malacca to investigate the genetic diversity, population connectivity, and historical demography of L.

Background: While osteoporosis in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is widely studied, PHPT patients with osteopenia remain less characterized. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence, biochemical features, and estimated fracture risk of osteopenic PHPT patients in a real-life cohort.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed a consecutive series of PHPT patients with available densitometric data at three sites.
