Background: In menopausal women, decreased estrogen levels lead to genital tract mucosal atrophy and reduced mucosal immune function. Low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL) associated with persistent or newly acquired high-risk HPV infection may progress silently to high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and eventually cervical cancer.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of photodynamic therapy combined with estrogen in the treatment of menopausal women with LSIL and high-risk HPV infection.

Chemoprophylaxis reduces the risk of hospital-acquired venous thromboembolism (VTE), but is not reliably ordered. Our institution created a clinical decision support (CDS) interruptive alert to remind clinicians to order VTE chemoprophylaxis when it is missing for qualifying inpatients. Unfortunately, this alert has required repeated modifications to ensure accurate logic, and continues to generate negative feedback from users.

Background: Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction (CLAD) is the leading cause of late morbidity and mortality following lung transplantation. Increasing evidence implicates microaspiration, often secondary to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastrointestinal (GI) dysfunction, as a critical non-alloimmune driver of CLAD. However, its often silent presentation, diagnostic complexity, and heterogeneous management contribute to persistent knowledge and treatment gaps.

Introduction: Syringomyelia is a rare pathology which is rarely revealed by urinary urgency. We report the case of a 20-year-old man with persistent urinary urgency and pollakiuria for two years, with no identifiable organic cause despite a thorough urological work-up. A transient episode of lower limb atony prompted spinal MRI, which revealed an isolated syrinx at the T6-T7 level, without associated Chiari malformation or conus medullaris involvement.
