This study investigates the capillary performance and wetting behavior of SLA (Stereolithography) 3D-printed porous structures, focusing on TPMS (triply periodic minimal surfaces)-Gyroid, Octet, Diamond, and Isotruss lattice designs. High-speed imaging was used to analyze droplet interactions, including penetration, spreading, and contact angles, with 16 μL water droplets dropping from 30 mm at 0.77 m/s. Results showed variable contact angles, with Isotruss and Octet having higher angles, while Diamond faced measurement challenges due to surface roughness. Numerical simulations of TPMS-Gyroid of 2 mm unit cells validated the experimental results, and Diamond, Octet, and Isotruss structures were simulated. Capillary performance was assessed through deionized (DI) water weight-time (w-t) measurements, identifying that the TPMS-Gyroid structure performed adequately. Structures with 4 mm unit cells had low capillary performance, excluding them from permeability testing, whereas smaller 2 mm structures demonstrated capillary effects but had printability and cleaning issues. Permeability results indicated that Octet performed best, followed by Isotruss, Diamond, and TPMS-Gyroid. Findings emphasize unit cell size, beam thickness, and droplet positioning as key factors in optimizing fluid dynamics for cooling, filtration, and fluid management.

Introduction: von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease is an autosomal dominant hereditary disorder characterized by the development of tumor-like lesions in multiple organs. While central nervous system hemangioblastomas, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and pancreatic cysts are commonly associated with VHL disease, there have been few reported cases of pancreatic hemangioblastoma in patients with VHL disease.
Case Presentation: A male patient in his 30s had been diagnosed with VHL disease and had been followed for cerebellar and spinal hemangioblastomas, and renal cell carcinoma, for which he had undergone several tumor resections, radiation therapy, and a ventriculoperitoneal shunt.

The crystallization behavior of ionic liquids (ILs) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium [BMIM] hexafluorophosphate [PF] and chloride [Cl] is investigated upon confinement in 2.3 or 8.2 nm diameter silica nanopore arrays, along with the effects of covalently modifying the pore walls with 1-(3-trimethoxysilylpropyl)3-methylimidazolium [TMS-MIM] groups.

Objectives: Post-acne erythema (PAE), a common consequence of acne, is characterized by capillary dilation and erythema, which significantly impact facial aesthetics and quality of life. This study aims to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of intense pulsed light (DPL) and 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in treating PAE.
Methods: This prospective, randomized, self-controlled, evaluator-blinded clinical trial compared DPL and 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG laser treatments on one side of the face, with biweekly sessions for 6 weeks.

A ketogenic diet (KD) has shown promise as an adjunctive therapy for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder (MDD). We examined tolerance for a KD in young adults with MDD and assessed symptoms of depression and metabolic health. Students (n = 24) with a confirmed diagnosis of MDD at baseline receiving standard of care counseling and/or medication treatment were enrolled in a 10-12 week KD intervention that included partial provision of ketogenic-appropriate food items, frequent dietary counseling, and daily morning tracking of capillary R-beta-hydroxybutyrate (R-BHB).

Purpose: To compare the clinical features, multimodal imaging characteristics, and treatment outcomes of primary and secondary large retinal capillary aneurysms (LRCA).
Methods: A total of 34 eyes were included: seven with primary LRCA and 27 with secondary LRCA. All patients underwent fundus photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fundus fluorescein angiography.
