Purpose: Black women with hormone receptor-positive (HR +) breast cancer are twice as likely as White women to have weakly HR + tumors (1-10% positive cells). Patients with weakly HR + tumors are less frequently prescribed ET and have 60% higher mortality than strongly HR + tumors (> 10% positive cells). We evaluated factors associated with ET prescription and self-reported use among Black women with HR + breast cancer.

Objective: Characterize disease-specific mortality rates in patients with acromegaly on pegvisomant and identify pertinent risk factors, including on-therapy insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) levels.
Design: Retrospective cohort analysis of ACROSTUDY, a global surveillance study of patients with acromegaly receiving pegvisomant.
Methods: Cumulative incidence function to estimate disease-specific mortality and regression analyses to characterize risk factors.

Background: Persistent chemotherapy-induced alopecia (pCIA) is a distressing side effect of antineoplastic agents, imposing significant psychological burdens on cancer survivors. Despite its impact, there are no standardized guidelines for diagnosis, prevention or management.
Objective: To establish consensus-based definitions, diagnostic criteria, grading systems and management recommendations for pCIA.

Background: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) represents an aggressive cancer type associated with poor prognosis, often treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) using cisplatin-based regimens. However, cisplatin resistance limits therapeutic efficacy, necessitating a deeper understanding of resistance mechanisms. L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1) plays a crucial role in amino acid uptake and is linked to cancer cell survival through activation of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway.

The relationship between pregnancy and breast cancer is complicated. On one hand, pregnancy can influence breast cancer risk and tumor biology, and on the other, a breast cancer diagnosis and its subsequent management can significantly affect fertility, family planning, and future pregnancies. This interaction presents challenges unique to young women with breast cancer (YWBC).
