Background: Two commonly used techniques for securing the tendon graft to the patella in medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction include the suture anchor (SA) method and the transosseous (TO) method. This study aimed to compare the outcomes in groups of patients who underwent SA and TO methods for patellar fixation in MPFL reconstruction.
Methods: A systematic review was carried out. The evaluation of methodological quality for the included studies utilized the Modified Coleman Methodology Score and Methodology Index for Non-Randomized Studies criteria.Meta-analysis was performed using odds ratios (OR) for dichotomous outcomes and mean differences (MD) for continuous outcomes.
Results: Four articles were included in this analysis, encompassing a total of 259 knees. Two studies were categorized as the level of evidence II, and two studies were categorized as the level of evidence III. Postoperative clinical outcomes, including Kujala, Lysholm, and International Knee Documentation Committee scores, did not statistically significantly differ between the SA and TO methods. Radiographic outcomes showed no statistically significant difference in congruence angle and patellar tilt angle between the two approaches at the minimal 2-year follow-up. Furthermore, the incidence of complications, specifically redislocation and patella fracture, was generally low, with no differences observed between the SA and TO methods.
Conclusions: Both the SA and TO methods for patellar fixation in MPFL reconstruction contribute to improved clinical outcomes, displaying low complication rates. No statistically significant differences were observed in clinical and radiographic outcomes, as well as complications, between these two techniques.

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of the knee is commonly injured and can lead to joint instability. ACL reconstruction (ACLR) is often required as endogenous healing is limited and the stability provided by dynamic stabilisers is insufficient for complete joint function. A graft, comprising either biological tissue or synthetic material, is used to replicate the biomechanical and structural properties of the native ACL to restore function.

A secondary aim was to identify differences in SA between patients with one-time dislocation (OTD) versus recurrent patellar dislocations (RPDs).
Methods: Paediatric patients with a history of PD were retrospectively grouped into those with an OTD versus RPDs.

Objective: We developed and validated an artificial intelligence pipeline that leverages diffusion models to enhance prognostic assessment of knee osteoarthritis (OA) by analyzing longitudinal changes in patella shape on lateral knee radiographs.
Method: In this retrospective study of 2,913 participants from the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study, left-knee weight-bearing lateral radiographs obtained at baseline and 60 months were analyzed. Our pipeline commences with an automatic segmentation for patella shapes, followed by a diffusion model to predict patella shape trajectories over 60 months.

Concerns exist regarding postoperative anterior knee pain (AKP) and kneeling discomfort with BPTB grafts. Background And Aims: Polyneuropathy is highly prevalent among kidney transplant recipients (KTR), underscoring the need for an accurate yet easy-to-perform diagnostic method to improve understanding and enable early identification of treatable cases.
Methods: This study included KTR at least 12 months post-transplant at the University Medical Centre Groningen, the Netherlands. An expert panel assessed polyneuropathy through a structured neurological examination, quantitative sensory testing, and nerve conduction studies.
