Article Abstract

The neutron induced fission of U is a very important reaction for nuclear technology applications and for the design of future systems to produce clean and safe energy. In addition, it is used as a reference reaction for neutron cross-section measurements, thus, its cross section is needed with a high accuracy over a wide energy range. In this work, the measurement for the U(n,f) reaction was carried out at the n_TOF facility located at CERN, at experimental area EAR-2. The standard B(n, α) reaction was used as reference, while a setup based on the gaseous Micromegas detectors was implemented for the detection of the fission fragments and α and Li-particles of the two reactions, respectively. In order to determine the thickness of the B sample NRA measurements were carried out at the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos".

Given the evidence of cognitive deficits in individuals with vestibular dysfunction, reduced cognitive resources may impact the effort required to process auditory information, particularly in adverse listening conditions. Although existing literature suggests impaired performance on cognitive tasks in vestibular disorders in general, research in this area specific to patients with vestibular migraine is limited. This article aims to investigate working memory, auditory attention, and listening effort among individuals with vestibular migraine.

A rapid and specific liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method with a wide linear range was developed and validated for the simultaneous quantification of Vitamin K1 (VK1) trans- and cis- isomers in human plasma. Bovine serum albumin solution (15%) served as a surrogate matrix for preparing the calibrators to establish the quantitative curves. After liquid-liquid extraction, VK1 trans- and cis- isomers in plasma samples were separated on a ChromCore C30 column (15 cm × 4.

Saikosaponin A (SSa) is an oleanane type triterpenoid saponin isolated from Radix Bupleuri (Bupleurum chinense DC). While SSa has demonstrated significant pharmacological activities including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antidepressant effects, its pharmacokinetic profile remains poorly characterized. This study developed and validated a sensitive LC-MS/MS method for quantifying SSa in rat plasma.
