A classification model of group and community activities carried out from Primary Care and used in the Community Health Strategy of the Valencian Community is developed. The model is framed within three levels of community orientation, based on the prior conceptualization of what a community activity is according to the axes of temporality, intersectorality, and participation, and it is represented by a staircase. At the first step, individual care with a community orientation is located; the second step is subdivided: sublevel 2- (represents punctual group action); sublevel 2 (where the action has continuity and is considered group health education with an equity approach and social determinants of health); and sublevel 2+ (where intersectorality and engagement community are also incorporated). At the third step is where community action is situated. The model includes recommendations on how to progress from each level.

Introduction: The rapidly expanding commercial spaceflight (CSF) market has fueled increasing interest in spaceflight experiences among individuals without professional astronaut qualifications. Such individuals may present with a range of medical conditions that add uncertainties to medical preparation and risk assessment for spaceflight. As the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) working group of the Aerospace Medical Association Ad Hoc Committee on Commercial Spaceflight, we conducted a scoping review to assess the available biomedical literature for ENT and neuro-vestibular conditions and physiology pertinent to spaceflight for nonprofessional space travelers.

Background/objectives: The importance of pro-equity strategies in addressing disadvantages that people and communities face due to their gender, migration status, ethnicity, disability, and place of residence is increasingly being recognised, but analysis of empirical evidence on how they improve vaccination in these priority groups is limited. This systematic review aims to fill this gap.
Methods: Standard evidence synthesis methods were employed, with searches conducted in four major bibliographic databases in March 2025.

Substance misuse among college students continues to rise, with polysubstance use becoming increasingly common. Alcohol remains the most prevalent substance, with heavy episodic and high-quantity drinking linked to serious consequences, including injuries, assaults, and deaths. Concurrent use of alcohol and cannabis, as well as other illicit drugs, further compounds risks to health, safety, and academic functioning.

As radical genres of self-care are co-opted under neoliberal logics, I track an emerging "bubble-bathification" of self-care, which foregrounds rest as a therapeutic avenue toward mental health. Fieldwork at Canadian universities demonstrates that the promotion of restful self-care is often juxtaposed against environments of systemic exhaustion, resulting in a cycle of fatigue for students perpetrated by the sources promoting restorative breaks. There is a simultaneous desire among students to divest themselves from inactivity in favor of pursuing justice-oriented change in their communities.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn 2019, Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Medicine (BWH-DOM) established the Health Equity Innovation Pilot (HEIP) program to fund grants led by BWH-DOM faculty members that aimed to address inequities in hospital-based care delivery or outcomes. One-year grants of up to $40,000 total were cofunded by this BWH-DOM program and by the applicant's BWH-DOM division to support health equity research or care innovation interventions. Recipients participated in a learning collaborative, which included community-building, health equity research and advocacy-related educational sessions, and midterm and final presentations.
