The discovery of solute precursors of crystalline materials, such as biominerals, recently challenged the classical nucleation theory (CNT). One emerging method for investigating these early-stage intermediates in solution is dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (dDNP)-enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Recent applications of dDNP to calcium carbonate (CaC) and calcium phosphate (CaP) mineralization have demonstrated the feasibility of identifying and tracing very early-stage prenucleation clusters (PNCs).

Nanoionic devices, crucial for neuromorphic computing and ionically enabled functional actuators, are often kinetically limited. In bilayer configurations, experimentally deconvoluting ion transport within individual layers from the kinetics of transfer across solid-solid interfaces, however, remains a challenge, hindering rational device optimization. Here, we extend the dynamic current-voltage (-) technique to a PrCeO/LaCeCuO (PCO/LCCO) bilayer system, enabling the isolation and quantification of distinct ion transport processes.

Background: Bridge preparation skills are a vital component of dental education and require specific techniques. This study aimed to develop and evaluate 3D printed teeth for use in defect-oriented bridge preparation and pre-prosthetic exercises in dental training, addressing the limited customization and lack of integrated workflows found in commercial typodont teeth. The null hypothesis stated that 3D printed teeth offered no advantage over established typodont training methods for bridge preparation.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the nature and extent of TMF use in implementation trials, identify which TMFs are most frequently employed, and explore temporal trends in their use.
