Article Abstract

New types of triarylborane compounds , ,, and ,, containing one to three ()-4-dimethylamino [2.2]paracyclophane units at different phenyl rings of triarylborane were disclosed. These molecules exhibited obvious well-separated temperature-sensitive dual fluorescence characteristics in THF, which is promising and challenging for small organic luminescent molecules. In addition, they displayed intensive circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) signals with a luminescence dissymmetry factor (||) that reached 10.

Combining disinfection and bone regeneration in a one-step treatment is of significant clinical importance for chronic osteomyelitis, yet it remains a considerable challenge. To address this, we developed a dual stimulus-responsive decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM) cryogel (GC-dECM@CPN). The cryogel is composed of methacrylate gelatin (GelMA), carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS), dECM, and temperature-sensitive phase-transition copper peroxide nanoparticles (CPNs).

Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) represents a critical barrier to effective mild-temperature photothermal therapy (MPTT), limiting its clinical utility in aggressive cancers like triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). While small interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated HSP70 suppression offers a promising solution, optimal timing for this therapeutic combination remains unexplored. Here, it is demonstrated that precisely timed administration significantly enhances MPTT efficacy through systematic temporal characterization of HSP70 expression dynamics.

Reported herein are long-lived, red-luminescent silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) protected by the small-molecule ligand thiolactic acid, which exhibit exceptional stability (shelf life exceeding three years, photostability ∼100%), water-solubility, and high biocompatibility, making them suitable for diverse applications such as sensing and live-cell imaging. The AgNCs display extremely sensitive (>2% K) temperature-dependent luminescence, monitored by a dual approach of changes in photoluminescence intensity and excited-state lifetime, enabling precise local thermal environment monitoring with a very high-resolution temperature sensing down to subdegree levels (<0.5 K).

Hydrogel electrolyte-based electrochromic devices (ECDs) have become a research frontier in the electrochromic community as hydrogels combine the advantages of both liquid and solid electrolytes. However, these ECDs still require external power to operate. In addition, the color change is induced by cations insertion/extraction, accompanying anions accumulation at electrode-electrolyte interface, which may reduce the lifespan of ECDs.

In this study, dual stimulus-response molecularly imprinted hydrogels (MIHs) with water-soluble doxorubicin (DOX) as the imprinted molecule were developed for improving the selective specific recognition capacity. By using N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) as a temperature-sensitive monomer, and N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]methacrylamide (DMAPMA) as a pH-responsive functional monomer, a series of MIHs with different concentration ratios of dual functional monomers and cross-linker were prepared to study the influencing factors of selective recognition. The results show the prepared MIHs have different rigidity and flexibility under different synthesis conditions.
