This paper proposes a hybrid-order orbital angular momentum Poincaré sphere to refine the representation of high-order spatial modes. The orbital angular momentum Poincaré sphere is extended to a more general form. Benefiting from the degenerate case of the hybrid-order Poincaré sphere, this new Poincaré sphere is both complete and intuitive, enabling the guided generation of vector light fields. By utilizing an all-fiber structured light field generation system based on cascaded fused-biconical tapered mode selective couplers, some typical beams corresponding to arbitrary points on the hybrid-order orbital angular momentum Poincaré sphere are generated. This miniaturized solution for structured light field generation is both cheap and fast compared to liquid crystal devices.

Background: Catheter ablation is beneficial in patients with symptomatic persistent atrial fibrillation (PerAF), and pulsed field ablation (PFA) is a promising energy source to safely and durably create ablation lesions. However, catheter-specific "PFA waveforms and designs" result in effectiveness and safety profiles that are not transferable to other PFA technologies. A head-to-head comparison between the dual-energy, wide-footprint lattice-tip (Sphere-9, Medtronic) and pentaspline PFA catheter (Farawave, Boston Scientific) is not yet available.

Background: Institutional communication on human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, and sexually transmitted diseases requires the knowledge of people's information needs and tools mainly used for information on health issues. To this goal, a web listening analysis was conducted by Istituto Superiore di Sanità jointly with the Ministry of Health and experts in the field.
Methods: Spontaneous listening on the web and on social channels, in relation to conversations referring to human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome or sexually transmitted diseases was recorded through an integrated Social Listening platform.

The targeted formation of low-symmetry coordination cages represents a significant design challenge but offers the potential to engineer bespoke molecular hosts with precision. In this work, we have combined the design principles of geometric complementarity and coordination sphere engineering to direct the site- and orientation-selective self-assembly of heteroleptic PdL L -type coordination cages from low-symmetry ligands. The effects of different combinations of heterocyclic donors and their locations within the cage structures on isomer distributions were studied, providing insights on shifts in the balance between non-covalent interactions in the first and second coordination spheres of the cages.

Motivated by copper's essential role in biology and its wide range of applications in catalytic and synthetic chemistry, this work aims to understand the effect of heteroatom substitution on the overall stability and reactivity of biomimetic Cu(II)-alkylperoxo complexes. In particular, we designed a series of tetracoordinated ligand frameworks based on iso-BPMEN = (,-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-','-dimethylethane-1,2-diamine) with varying the primary coordination sphere using different donor atoms (N, O, or S) bound to Cu(II). The copper(II) complexes bearing iso-BPMEN and their modified heteroatom-substituted ligands were synthesized and structurally characterized.

Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are among the most effective methods for industrial wastewater treatment, but their applications to remove trace organic contaminants (TrOCs) are hampered by a lack of "selectivity". Here, an AOP was established using Cr(III) to activate periodate (PI) (Cr(III)/PI system) realizing rapid TrOCs removal, in which 2 μM tetracycline hydrochloride was completely degraded within 8 min (with 29 μM Cr(III) and 30 μM PI, pH 8). Mechanism analysis revealed the positive effect of Cr(III) complexation on enhancing both the efficiency and selectivity of TrOCs removal.
