This study addresses the need to understand adults' diverse daily care preferences (DCP). We aimed to identify and analyze the themes of DCP from unstructured text narratives, focusing on uncovering gender-specific variations. We analyzed 4,350 texts using LDA topic model. Our analysis identified six major themes including "Entertainment," "Music," and "Personal Interests and Memories." The study revealed significant gender differences in DCP, especially in familial relationships and entertainment choices. These findings highlight the need to incorporate individual, gender-specific DCP into person-centered care to improve care quality, satisfaction, and overall quality of life.

Background: Survivors of critical illness frequently face physical, cognitive and psychological impairments after intensive care. Background: Post-viral syndromes, including long- and post-COVID, often lead to persistent symptoms such as fatigue and dyspnoea, affecting patients' daily lives and ability to work. The COVI-Care M-V trial examines whether interprofessional, patient-centred teleconsultations, initiated by general practitioners in cooperation with specialists, can help reduce symptom burden and improve care for patients.
Methods: To evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention under routine care conditions, a cluster-randomised controlled trial is being conducted.

Background: Cerebellar pathologies in adults can have a wide range of hereditary, acquired and sporadic-degenerative causes. Due to the frequency in daily hospital, especially intensive care, settings, electrolyte imbalances are an important, yet rare differential diagnosis. The hypomagnesemia-induced cerebellar syndrome (HiCS) constitutes a relevant disease entity with clinical and morphological variability due to a potential progression of symptoms and a promising causal treatment.

A ketogenic diet (KD) has shown promise as an adjunctive therapy for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder (MDD). We examined tolerance for a KD in young adults with MDD and assessed symptoms of depression and metabolic health. Students (n = 24) with a confirmed diagnosis of MDD at baseline receiving standard of care counseling and/or medication treatment were enrolled in a 10-12 week KD intervention that included partial provision of ketogenic-appropriate food items, frequent dietary counseling, and daily morning tracking of capillary R-beta-hydroxybutyrate (R-BHB).

Aim: To explore the experiences of patients, families and clinicians managing steroid-induced hyperglycaemia (SIH) out of the hospital and identify areas for improved care.
Methods: We searched hospital records to identify patients requiring input from the diabetes inpatient team between February 2022 and March 2023 due to steroid usage. Clinicians, patients and their family members were interviewed remotely about their experiences of care and views on how to improve it.
