Hip dysplasia in cerebral palsy (CP) is a common and severe problem, especially among nonambulatory patients. A likely cause is muscular imbalance and developmental bone changes leading to a progressive extrusion of the femoral head from the acetabulum. The ideal surgical treatment aims to reduce the dislocated hip to improve pain, positioning, and function.

Introduction: Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), known as Willis-Ekbom disease, is a common neurological condition that often goes undiagnosed, especially in children. Characterized by an irresistible urge to move the legs, it is typically more pronounced in the evening and at rest. Growing Pains (GP), common in childhood and associated with migraine, present apparently overlapping symptoms with RLS, making it sometimes difficult to distinguish between the two.

Background: More research is needed to clarify the health effects of dietary carotenoid intakes, and this requires the use of high-quality assessments of habitual dietary intake. Cohort studies from the Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization included a self-administered food frequency questionnaire (TMM-FFQ) for community-dwelling adults. This study evaluated the validity of carotenoid intakes derived from the TMM-FFQ using serum carotenoid concentrations as the gold standard.

Transcranial ultrasound localization microscopy (t-ULM) is faced with challenges posed by the skull, including acoustic attenuation and phase aberrations. There is a significant request for an efficient aberration correction method achieving a great balance between computational complexity and accuracy. In this study, the ray theory is first applied to in-vivo transcranial imaging to calculate the traveltime table in the inhomogeneous medium model of the imaging region.

Subclinical ketosis (SCK) in periparturient cows is associated with gut microbiota dysbiosis and energy metabolism disorders. Although in vitro studies show that free fatty acids (FFA) and BHB impair polymorphonuclear neutrophil (PMN) functions-potentially causing secondary infections-limited in vivo evidence exists. Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) modulate metabolism, immunity, and gut microbiota, but their effects on PMN functions and gut microbiota in SCK cows remain unclear.
