Objective: The use of electronic vaporisers to deliver cannabis ('cannabis vaping') has increased rapidly among young people. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to summarise current evidence on the psychosocial characteristics of adolescents and young adults who vape cannabis.
Method: PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, and Web of Science were searched for original publications since 2003. We summarised and meta-analysed studies on adolescents (12-18 years) and young adults (19-34 years) that reported sociodemographic, mental health, and other substance use correlates of cannabis vaping.
Results: Thirty-one studies from the U.S., Canada, England, New Zealand, and Switzerland met eligibility criteria (=568,304): twenty-six on adolescents (12-18 years; =554,934), five on young adults (19-34 years, =13,370). Among adolescents who currently used cannabis (=114,595), the odds of cannabis vaping were significantly higher in males than females (7 studies; pooled OR=1.79, 95%CI=1.38-2.34); in older than younger adolescents (3 studies; pooled OR=1.26, 95%CI=1.07-1.50), in adolescents who currently use tobacco (3 studies; pooled OR=1.62, 95%CI=1.11-2.36) or alcohol (3 studies; pooled OR=2.52, 95%CI=1.27-5.01), but significantly lower in non-Hispanic Blacks than Whites (4 studies; pooled OR=0.55, 95%CI=0.39-0.77). The relationship between adolescent cannabis vaping and mental health, and factors among young adults, was inconclusive due to insufficient studies.
Conclusions: Adolescents who were male, older, non-Hispanic White, and currently using alcohol or tobacco had higher odds of vaping cannabis. Findings highlighted the need to tailor prevention initiatives for these populations, and to conduct further research on the association between cannabis vaping and mental health disorders.

Theoretical approaches can help to plan, guide, and evaluate implementation projects that target real-world practice problems. This paper provides an overview of the integrated Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (i-PARIHS) framework and summarizes its use in nutrition and dietetics research and practice. A narrative summary of its use was compiled from the published literature based on citations from two key reference sources of the i-PARIHS framework.

This article presents a new set of semantic feature production norms, collected from 580 young adults, for 360 French concepts across various semantic categories. Although empirically derived feature norms have been developed for several languages and have been shown to be useful for investigating semantic memory and providing assessment tools, none are currently available for native French-speaking populations. In this study, the participants performed a property generation task in which they were asked to list features to describe the characteristics of each given concept (e.

Purpose: Given the increased likelihood for individuals with severe asthma to experience comorbidities, disease complications, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations, the ability to stratify asthma populations on severity is often important. Although pharmacoepidemiologic studies using administrative healthcare databases sometimes categorize asthma severity, there is no consensus on an approach.
Methods: Individuals with asthma (≥ 2 ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes J45) aged ≥ 6 years were identified in Optum's de-identified Clinformatics Data Mart Database between January 2017 and November 2023.

Objectives: To explore differences in beliefs towards running in adults with and without chronic low back pain.
Design: This convergent mixed methods cross-sectional study compared adults with chronic low back pain (n = 39) to pain-free adults with a history of chronic low back pain (n = 28) and a low back pain naive control group (n = 71).
Methods: Beliefs towards running (activity specific beliefs questionnaire; range: 1-4 points), pain intensity (101-point visual analogue scale), disability (Oswestry Disability Index), and habitual physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) were analysed.

The diagnosis of hemolysis is still based on straightforward biochemical parameters: haptoglobin (the most sensitive), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and unconjugated bilirubin. Anemia is not always present. Reticulocyte counts typically exceed 120×10/L, except in cases of associated vitamin deficiency or during the very early phase of acute hemolysis.
