Dopamine (DA) signaling is essential for neurodevelopment and is particularly sensitive to disruption during adolescence. Protein restriction (PR) can impair DA dynamics, yet mechanistic insights remain limited due to challenges in real-time neurochemical sensing. Here, we present aptCFE, a robust implantable aptamer-based sensor fabricated via a reagent-free, 3 min electrochemical conjugation (E-conjugation) using amine-quinone chemistry.

The authors describe a case of vertebral artery dissection in a patient with Turner Syndrome presenting to a university student health center. Cervical artery dissection (CeAD) is the most common cause of stroke in young adults and should be considered in patients with underlying risk factors. It usually presents with local symptoms caused by compression of adjacent nerves and their feeding vessels, as well as ischemia and hemorrhagic events.

Objectives: We aimed to assess the long-term survival following surgical repair because of type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) and the correlation with the preoperative GERAADA-score value.
Methods: We enrolled patients who underwent emergent aortic surgery because of ATAAD from 2010 to 2022 from 9 hospitals. Follow-up information was obtained by matching the clinical patient data with a national administrative database.

The amphibian dissection for medical students was halted by the restrictions imposed by the National regulatory guidelines, prompting medical curricula to revise and innovate instructional methods. Hence there is a critical need for potential innovative solutions to enhance students' understanding of physiological concepts. Therefore, this study aimed (a) to evaluate the gain in knowledge and retention with computer assisted simulation (CAS) vs traditional (TT) teaching learning strategies in first year medical and paramedical students, and (b) to obtain students' and faculty feedback about strengths and limitations of both strategies.
