Article Abstract

The induction of CD4Foxp3 regulatory T cells (pTreg cells) in the intestine is important for preventing allergic and inflammatory disease, but which cells drive their differentiation is less clear. Three manuscripts in Nature, Cell, and Science conclude that one population of RORγt "dendritic cells" (DCs) is essential for both food- and microbe-specific pTreg cell responses in the intestine.
