In keeping with the focus on questionable research practices in 2025, this entry of the Methodology Corner calls attention to the practice of cherry picking. Studies subject to cherry picking have the potential to introduce inaccurate information into the nurse education literature. This column highlights a few recommendations our community might utilize to help dissuade the practice of cherry picking. .

Introduction: Accurate identification of cherry maturity and precise detection of harvestable cherry contours are essential for the development of cherry-picking robots. However, occlusion, lighting variation, and blurriness in natural orchard environments present significant challenges for real-time semantic segmentation.
Methods: To address these issues, we propose a machine vision approach based on the PIDNet real-time semantic segmentation framework.

Quotations serve multiple purposes in qualitative research, such as supporting claims, illustrating findings, explaining, impressing, and offering readers vicarious experiences. Despite their widespread use, there is limited guidance on how to select and report quotations, leading to potential issues of "cherry-picking" quotes that may not accurately represent the findings. This study aimed to fill this gap by establishing guiding principles for qualitative researchers.

Objective: Evaluate the technical development and long-term outcomes of Parenchymal-sparing One-Stage Hepatectomy (POSH) for colorectal liver metastases (CLM).
Summary Background Data: For multiple bilobar CLM, two-stage hepatectomy (TSH) is suggested, with liver transplant proposed for unresectable cases. In this context, POSH showed effectiveness.
Large language model (LLM) research in musculoskeletal medicine is growing rapidly, but much of the literature remains methodologically weak and highly repetitive. To address this, the orthopaedic LLM research community needs a shared benchmarking infrastructure/framework to evaluate models on clinically grounded tasks using fixed-prompt templates and transparent scoring. Drawing on established LLM benchmarking practices, such a framework would enable reproducibility, discourage cherry-picking, and promote meaningful innovation.
