Objective: Estimating delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (mgTHC) using hits involves converting hits to grams via a grams-per-hit ratio (GPHR). Previous studies assumed a single hit size (SHS), ignoring individual hit size variations. This study investigates a multiple qualitative hit size (MQHS) approach based on self-reported hit sizes (small, medium, large) to improve mgTHC estimates.

Background: Australia has one of the highest rates of cannabis use globally, yet the concentration of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) of illicit street cannabis has not been formally assessed in over a decade. We aimed to comprehensively profile the concentration of THC, cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids in contemporary illicit street cannabis in regional Australia, assess variation over time, and examine how the amount of THC relates to consumer's perceived product strength.
Methods: Participants donated two 1-gram samples of cannabis at 3 different timepoints (i.

∆-tetrahydrocannabinol (∆-THC) plays a major role in driving under the influence of drugs investigations and workplace drug testing. Additionally, cannabidiol (CBD), as well as semi-synthetic cannabinoids, like hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) and ∆-tetrahydrocannabinol (∆-THC), are increasingly found on regulated and unregulated drug markets. A straightforward bioanalytical method was developed, covering 14 analytes, including ∆-THC, CBD, ∆-THC, and their respective metabolites, as well as HHC and a subset of minor phytocannabinoids.

: Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors have transformed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) management by promoting glucosuria, lowering glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), blood pressure, and weight; however, their use is limited by genitourinary infections and ketoacidosis. Phytocannabinoids-bioactive compounds from -exhibit multi-target pharmacology, including interactions with cannabinoid receptors, Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors (PPARs), Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) channels, and potentially SGLT2. : To evaluate the potential of phytocannabinoids as novel modulators of renal glucose reabsorption via SGLT2 and to compare their efficacy, safety, and pharmacological profiles with synthetic SGLT2 inhibitors.

Background: The D3 Array Combined assay (PTM 012201) is a qualitative test for the detection of Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Salmonella species, and a broad range of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) serogroups in cannabis matrixes. The test involves extraction of nucleic acids from samples followed by preamplification, Loci polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and subsequent Labeling PCR. The PCR amplification product is then hybridized to a DNA microarray.
