A novel biopolymer, fatty acid-derived polyelectrolyte (FADP), was synthesized via oxidative polymerization and base-induced ionization of unsaturated fatty acids. We evaluated its ionization degree, molecular weight progression, and mechanical performance. FADP composites with optimal carboxylate content exhibited high flexural strength, suggesting the potential of producing sustainable, polarity-tunable polymers through a simple process.
