This descriptive, observational, cross-sectional study evaluated HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 infections in Ananindeua, northern Brazil. Individuals were screened for anti-HTLV-1/2 using ELISA (Murex HTLV-I + II, DiaSorin). Reactive or indeterminate samples underwent confirmation via Western blot (HTLV Blot 2.4 kit, MP Diagnostics) and/or RT-qPCR. A questionnaire examined behavioral and risk factors for HTLV-1/2 infection. HTLV-positive individuals received counseling, nurse follow-up, and specialized medical care. Among the 228 individuals investigated, 6 (2.7%) were infected with HTLV-1: 4 men (66.67%) and 2 women (33.33%), aged 51-73 years. The only significant risk factor observed was blood transfusion. Additionally, 80 other individuals residing in the municipality of Ananindeua independently visited the laboratory for an HTLV-1/2 diagnosis. Among them, 23 were diagnosed with HTLV-1 infection, and 1 with HTLV-2. Among the 30 positive individuals, 80% were asymptomatic, while 20% exhibited clinical manifestations associated with HTLV infection, including HAM and Sézary syndrome. These results indicate a notable prevalence of HTLV-1 infection in the municipality of Ananindeua emphasizing the significance of diagnosing the infection to assess its prevalence across the country accurately.

Background: is the most prevalent bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) globally, linked to severe complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. In the Brazilian Amazon, socioeconomic vulnerability and the absence of screening policies exacerbate risks, particularly among female sex workers (FSWs).
Objective: This study aimed to determine the seroprevalence of IgG antibodies among FSWs in five municipalities of Pará State, Brazilian Amazon, and identify epidemiological factors associated with infection.

Background: The Amazon biome exhibits complex arboviral transmission dynamics influenced by accelerating deforestation, climate change, and socioeconomic inequities.
Objectives/methods: This study integrates official epidemiological records with socioeconomic, environmental, and climate variables by applying advanced geostatistical methods (Moran's I, SaTScan, kernel density estimation) combined with principal component analysis and negative binomial regression to assess the spatiotemporal dynamics of dengue incidence and its association with socio-environmental determinants across municipalities in Pará state (eastern Brazilian Amazon) from 2010 to 2024.
Results: Dengue incidence showed an overall decline but with marked epidemic peaks in 2010-2012, 2016, and 2024.

Geoprocessing represents an essential methodology for the spatial and temporal monitoring of populations, playing a strategic role in the vector control of Chagas disease. This cross-sectional, ecological, and retrospective study analyzed the spatiotemporal distribution of triatomines in the State of Pará, Brazilian Amazon, between 1977 and 2024, based on records from the Evandro Chagas Institute. A total of 9593 triatomines were identified, classified into 11 species and 6 genera originating from 83 municipalities.
