Background: Mitral regurgitation (MR) may rarely worsen after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) due to mechanical interference from the transcatheter heart valve (THV). Standard surgical approaches in these cases are often challenging due to anatomical constraints. Thus, there is a need for the development of effective alternatives to address this issue.

Objective: Previous randomized controlled trials demonstrated comparable outcomes between posterior leaflet resections and neochord implantation in mitral valve (MV) repair. However, these studies were limited up to 1-year follow-up, and more recent evidence suggested that leaflet resections may offer superior long-term outcomes.
Methods: All patients who underwent MV repair with either resection or neochord implantation for posterior leaflet pathology between October 2011 and July 2024 were included.

Simulation-based training is transforming the education of vascular surgeons in the management of aortic aneurysms (AAs), addressing limitations in traditional apprenticeship models amid declining open surgical volumes and increasing reliance on complex endovascular techniques. This review explores the current landscape of simulation technologies, including computational modeling, fluid-structure interaction, patient-specific 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and robotic platforms. These tools enable high-fidelity, anatomically accurate, and physiologically realistic training environments.

Endovascular surgeries generally rely on push-based catheters and guidewires, which require significant training to master and can still result in high stress being exerted on the anatomy, especially in tortuous paths. Because these procedures are so technically challenging to perform, many patients have limited access to high-quality treatment. Although various robotic systems have been developed to enhance navigation capabilities, they can also apply high stresses due to sliding against the vascular walls, impeding movement and raising the risk of vascular damage.

Introduction: The association between the risk of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) reactivation and immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) administration has been reported.
Case Presentation: A man in his seventies underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic radical cystectomy with ileal conduit diversion for muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Three years postoperatively, CT revealed metastases to the para-aortic lymph nodes and rectum.
