Drought and salinity intrusion (DSI) increasingly threaten agriculture and aquaculture in coastal regions. Focusing on the Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD), we examined how DSI from 2000 to 2020 influences rice cropping, aquaculture area, and rice yield across seven coastal provinces. discharge and salinity monitoring, combined with satellite-derived land use data and yield validation, revealed the highest DSI impacts during the 2010-2011, 2015-2016, and 2019-2020 dry seasons. Local governments employed strategies such as drought-tolerant rice, improved irrigation, and revised cropping schedules to mitigate losses, yet further investments remain vital. Our findings provide evidence-based insights for managing DSI and strengthening agricultural resilience in the VMD and other vulnerable deltas worldwide.

Objectives: Mobile applications are becoming essential for speech therapy, especially in areas with limited access to professional speech therapists. This technological intervention is especially pertinent during pandemics, which further restrict access to traditional therapeutic modalities. The objective of this study was to develop and evaluate a mobile application for articulation therapy, specifically designed for pediatric patients with articulation disorders associated with cleft palate.

Background And Objectives: Studies focussing on measuring antimicrobial resistance (AMR) rely on phenotyping or low throughput PCR detection of limited AMR genes (ARGs); high-throughput qPCR (HT-qPCR) may be a scalable approach for measuring AMR. We applied Fluidigm HT-qPCR to measure the impact of flock-level antimicrobial use (AMU) on genotypic AMR in the Mekong Delta area of Vietnam.
Methods: AMU-related data and pooled faecal samples were collected longitudinally from 20 meat chicken flocks, divided into flocks treated with antimicrobials and untreated controls.

Square-tailed mullet () is a monotypic species of the genus ; however, due to morphological similarities between mullet species, determining their genetic relationship and diversity provides valuable information for classification. The genetic diversity of the square-tailed mullet collected at four Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD) sites was examined by sequencing gene sequences. Five haplotypes were recorded from 12 gene sequences of 792-843 bp long, including 786 invariant (monomorphic) positions and six polymorphic positions.

Physiological disorders (PDs) in durian lead to reduced commodity prices; therefore, reducing the PD rate in durian enhances the fruit's value and farmers' profits. Nutrient and soil management may affect the PD rate during fruit development. Herein, we used amendments such as organic manure (OM) and foliar fertilization (FF) applications to reduce the PD rate and improve the soil health and fruit yield of durian.
