Article Abstract

Coupling molecules to a quantized radiation field inside an optical cavity has shown great promise in modifying chemical reactivity. Using the parametrized quantum electrodynamic (pQED) polariton chemistry approach, we theoretically demonstrate that the ground state selectivity of a Diels-Alder (DA) reaction can be fundamentally changed by strongly coupling this reaction to the cavity, generating preferential Endo or Exo isomers which are formed with equal probability for the same reaction outside the cavity. The numerical performance of pQED is in good agreement with the high-level self-consistent QED coupled cluster approach due to the exact light-matter interaction term used in pQED. By computing the ground state difference density, we show that the cavity induces a redistribution of electron density from intramolecular π-bonding orbitals to intermolecular bonding orbitals, providing chemical intuition of the cavity-induced changes to the ground state chemistry.

This qualitative study explores what factors influence teaming in behavioral health settings, from the perspective of behavioral health providers. Twenty-four participants from a range of behavioral health professions engaged in semi-structured interviews. Using a grounded theory approach, data were analyzed, and a "prism" model was developed to capture the complexities of behavioral health providers' perceptions of factors influencing teaming in various mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment programs.

In western North America, 3 pest wireworms in the genus Limonius co-occur on farmland, and the click beetle adult males respond to the same single-component sex attractant, limoniic acid. While divergence in seasonal occurrence may provide a means of separating sexual communication for Limonius canus (LeConte) and Limonius californicus (Mann.), both species overlap temporally with Limonius infuscatus (Mots.

Achieving high-quality PET imaging while minimizing scan time and patient radiation dose presents significant challenges, particularly in the absence of CT-based attenuation maps. Joint reconstruction algorithms, such as MLAA and MLACF, partially address these challenges but often result in noisy and less reliable images. Denoising these images is critical for enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

Accurate theoretical characterization of MgS: rovibrational line intensities and absorption cross-sections for astrophysical modeling.

Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Sichuan University, Chengdu 610065, PR China. Electronic address:

The electronic structure, spectroscopic constants, and transition parameters of the diatomic molecule Magnesium monosulfide (MgS) were investigated using high-level multi-reference configuration interaction calculations with the Davidson correction (MRCI+Q) and a consistent basis set for both Mg and S atoms. Potential energy curves and dipole moment functions were computed, allowing for accurate predictions of rovibrational energy levels. Key transition properties, including radiative lifetimes and Franck-Condon factors, were evaluated for transitions within the ground electronic state and the first excited singlet state.

Recently, Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have demonstrated their immense potential in computer-aided diagnosis and decision-making. In the context of robotic-assisted surgery, MLLMs can serve as effective tools for surgical training and guidance. However, there is still a deficiency of MLLMs specialized for surgical scene understanding in endoscopic procedures.
