Objective: To determine whether combined methods of labour preinduction are more effective and safer compared to a single method. In addition, we assessed whether shorter Foley catheter maintenance is more beneficial in reducing the time from preinduction to delivery. A significant topic in medical practice remains the use of prostaglandins (PGs) in women after previous cesarean delivery.
Data Sources: We carried out a systematic search in multiple databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Medline/Embase from January 1, 2018, up to December 1, 2023, using a combination of words including "induction of labour", "dinoprostone vaginal insert", "Foley catheter", "oral misoprostol", "vaginal birth after cesarean".
Study Selection: Only data from prospective cohort studies, and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in the analysis. We ruled out case reports, case series, and retrospective cohort studies.
Data Extraction And Data Synthesis: The subject-related articles were processed according to Preferred Reporting Items in Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. We evaluated 12 studies, of which 10 of them were randomized controlled trials, and 2 papers were prospective observational studies.
Conclusion: Combined methods of labour preinduction are more effective in reducing induction delivery interval and are equally safe. Preinduction of labour by PGs in a woman with a previous cesarean delivery should consider predictors of successful vaginal delivery. It is worth considering the preinduction of labour with a Foley catheter maintained for a shorter time in both primiparous and multiparous women.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence and provide an overview of Down syndrome and child- and mother-associated factors in Brazil from 2010 to 2020. This was a cross-sectional study including epidemiological characteristics related to live births of individuals with and without Down syndrome using the Brazilian government website. The average prevalence of Down syndrome in Brazil was approximately 30.

Introduction: Women who experience postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) after giving birth rapidly lose blood, which may lead to shock or death without immediate intervention. PPH most often results from uterine atony, when the uterus fails to contract after delivery. Worldwide, PPH causes 10 deaths hourly, with most deaths occurring in low-income settings.

Objective: To compare the mode of delivery and other maternal and neonatal outcomes in patients with one prior cesarean delivery undergoing labor induction with a cervical ripening balloon (CRB) for 6 h versus 12 h.
Methods: This retrospective study compared two protocols for mechanical cervical ripening: CRB placement for 12 h (12-h group, implemented from 2014 to 2017) versus 6 h (6-h group, implemented from 2020 to 2021). The study included patients with one prior low-segment cesarean delivery.

Childbirth-Related Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (CB-PTSD) can arise even after low-risk deliveries. This case report describes a 35-year-old woman who, despite a medically uncomplicated vaginal birth, developed severe CB-PTSD after being denied neuraxial analgesia and receiving remifentanil-PCA (remi-PCA) to manage pain. Her distress stemmed from inadequate pain relief, dissociation, and loss of control, exacerbated by unmet expectations for epidural analgesia.

Introduction: Vulvovaginal cancer in pregnancy is rare. Limited data complicate decision-making and patient counseling. Our review, coupled with new case data, fills a current gap in the literature and provides practical insights.
