Short anagen hair syndrome (SAHS) is a rare hair disorder characterized by a shortened anagen phase, limiting hair growth to a few centimeters. SAHS is a benign condition often improving after puberty, with diagnosis supported by clinical, trichological, and genetic findings. We report three pediatric cases of persistently short hair, all with negative hair pull tests and trichogram findings revealing club-shaped roots, tapering, and hair shaft diameter variability. Genetic testing identified the c.682 T>A;p.(Phe228Ile) variant in heterozygosity in the WNT10A gene in two patients, a variant reported as a risk factor for the condition.

Background: Phototherapy is the most commonly used treatment for vitiligo, with initial pigment appearing at the perifollicular site, eventually coalescing into uniform pigmentation due to melanocyte migration from hair follicles. Melanocyte activity is higher during the anagen phase of the hair cycle, which is prolonged by minoxidil.
Aim: To assess if topical minoxidil enhances the rate of pigmentation during phototherapy for the treatment of vitiligo.

Background: Telogen effluvium (TE) is defined by an increased ratio of telogen; anagen follicles. Diagnosis is not contingent on a self-reported quantum of telogen shedding. Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is diagnosed histologically by follicular miniaturization.

Background: The frequencies of the different types of alopecia in hair referral centres have so far been reported in a single multicentre study at multiple specialist hair clinics over a time period of one month.
Aim: Single center studies over a longer time-frame offer a more representative and homogeneous study population with regard to ethnic, demographic, and climatic factors, and seasonality of hair growth and shedding than multicenter studies over a short time frame.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective study of patient data at a single centre over 10 years.
