Papillary renal neoplasm with reverse polarity (PRNRP), currently categorized as a papillary renal cell carcinoma (RCC) variant in the 5th edition of the WHO Classification, has shown increasing evidence of clinicopathological and molecular distinctions from conventional papillary RCC. Therefore, PRNRP should be separated from papillary RCC. Our analysis of 35 PRNRP cases with a mean tumor size of 15.

Lewy body diseases are common neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's disease (PD) and dementia with Lewy bodies, which lead to both motor and non-motor symptoms. They are neuropathologically characterized by loss of neuromelanized neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta and α-synuclein-immunopositive inclusions (Lewy bodies) in several types of neurons in the brain. A fraction of monogenic PD cases, however, represent a conundrum, as they can present with clinical Lewy body disease but do not have Lewy bodies upon neuropathological examination.

Environmental pollution with heavy metals (HMs) and microplastics (MPs) could enhance the global health challenge antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Herein, we explore the complicated mechanics of how HMs, MPs, and AMR are interlinked within microbial ecosystems, as well as the co-selection and cross-resistance mechanisms. Unlike antibiotics, HMs have influenced microbial evolution for billions of years, promoting resistance mechanisms that predate antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs).

Introduction: Dengue, a prevalent mosquito-borne viral disease in tropical regions, is influenced by environmental factors such as rainfall, temperature, and urbanization. This study aims to assess the effects of microclimate, vegetation, and Aedes species distribution on dengue transmission in distinct hotspot and non-hotspot locations.
Methods: This cohort study was conducted in two sites within Selangor, Malaysia: a recurrent dengue hotspot and a non-dengue hotspot.
