Article Abstract

In this study, using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical microscopy, we give a detailed description of the male, supplementing the former male-based genus diagnoses. In particular, we described for the first time the following characters: the morphology of the external genitalia, the peculiar antennal cleaning and the absence of the metapleural gland orifice. In addition, we show the pretarsal claws and the ventral excavation in the gaster that represent diagnostic male features of all species, never imaged before. The use of modern taxonomic standards is particularly important in order to make these data available to future comparative analyses.

Objective: To analyze and improve postoperative outcomes in patients with acute lower limb ischemia (ALLI) and previous reconstructive infrainguinal interventions.

Material And Methods: The authors analyzed postoperative outcomes after 54 repeated interventions in patients with thrombosis of common femoral artery bifurcation, deep femoral artery and non-functioning femoropopliteal (tibial) prosthesis.

Results: External-iliac-deep femoral replacement were performed in 28 (52%) patients, extended deep femoral artery repair - in 16 (29.

Pelvic visceromotor functions such as micturition are regulated by coordinated autonomic and somatic motor pathways from the central nervous system. The parasympathetic system induces detrusor muscle contraction while the somatic system facilitates relaxation of the external urethral sphincter, ensuring synchronized and efficient bladder emptying during the voiding process. This study explores the relationship between Barrington's nucleus corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH)-ergic projections and the formation of perineural nets (PNNs) among spinal motoneurons, particularly parasympathetic preganglionic neurons in the intermediolateral nucleus (IML) and Onuf's nucleus during the maturation of the neural circuitry controlling pelvic visceromotor functions.

Purpose: Pelvic ring fractures involving the iliopubic rami can cause functional impairment. Percutaneous retrograde fixation is a less invasive procedure when compared to traditional open approaches, however precise anatomical knowledge is crucial for safe screw placement. This study aims to describe the morphology of the iliopubic rami, define a safety corridor for percutaneous screw fixation, specially focusing on the relationships between the iliopubic rami and neurovascular structures.

Purpose: Bronchiolar adenoma (BA) is a rare benign pulmonary neoplasm originating from the bronchial mucosal epithelium and mimics lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) both radiographically and microscopically. This study aimed to develop a nomogram for distinguishing BA from LAC by integrating clinical characteristics and artificial intelligence (AI)-derived histogram parameters across two medical centers.

Methods: This retrospective study included 215 patients with diagnoses confirmed by postoperative pathology from two medical centers.
