Objectives: Investigate availability and clarity of online abortion access information in Canada and identify, through the lens of a minor, if websites provide a clear answer to: "Can I get an abortion without my parents' permission?"
Methods: Using ChoiceConnect, 139 abortion providers and 17 health resource websites were identified for analysis. Provider information was searched to discover associated website. Identified websites were searched using Boolean operators for plain-language keywords on abortion access for minors ('abortion,' 'consent,' 'permission,' 'parent,' or 'age,') followed by manual searches.

Introduction: Despite an increasing use of screens among preschool children and evidence suggesting potential adverse effects, there is a paucity of longitudinal research that aims to disentangle the multifaceted components of screen use and their unique associations with development. We present a protocol for a large-scale national longitudinal study with repeated measurements in Danish preschool children, with the aim of investigating the cross-sectional and cross-lagged longitudinal associations between screen use and psychological outcomes.
Methods And Analysis: The Digital Child Study is a national prospective observational cohort of Danish preschool children.

Background: CD4 T lymphocytes play a central role in the pathogenesis of periodontitis, with the Treg/Th17 (regulatory T cell/T helper 17 cell) imbalance closely linked to diabetes-associated periodontitis (DPD). Maxacalcitol (OCT), an analog of active vitamin D, has therapeutic effects on diseases involving Treg/Th17 imbalance. This study aimed to determine whether OCT improved DPD by restoring the Treg/Th17 imbalance via store-operated Ca entry (SOCE)-mediated mitochondrial dysfunction.

Plain language summaries (PLSs) of scientific publications are intended to distill full-length scientific publications into a short, inclusive, accessible format that can be rapidly comprehended by all potential readers, but often retain cultural and linguistic barriers to accessibility, particularly for audiences in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Various publications have attempted to provide guidance on how to prepare PLSs, but there have been limited attempts to standardize structure or content and there is no universal guidance for PLSs. Furthermore, PLSs pertaining to research in patient populations in APAC, or relating to conditions that are prevalent in APAC, should be developed using language and imagery appropriate for the intended audience.
