Screen time has prompted investigations by researchers worldwide because of its impact on general health. This research aimed to analyze excessive screen time from a Brazilian national survey among adults and older people and to verify the immediate effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the evolution of the behavior. A panel study using the survey database between 2016-2022, in a sample of 254,600 Brazilian adults and elderly residents in capital cities.

Place of residence is an important determinant, as rural and urban contexts shape exposure, access, and consumption patterns. This study investigates rural-urban disparities in tobacco use among women in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on quantifying the relative contributions of socioeconomic factors.

Introduction: Curbing adolescent vaping is a public health priority and little evidence exists examining protective factors. Using a strength-based approach, this study explored the relationship between adolescent vaping health perceptions and vaping use.
Methods: Cross-sectional data from 9000 Australian adolescents aged 14-17 years recruited via multiple online panels as part of the Generation Vape Study were used.
