Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a significant global health concern, causing acute and chronic liver diseases, including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. This manuscript extends existing mathematical models for HBV by introducing a treatment compartment to improve understanding, diagnosis, and treatment strategies. A stability analysis is conducted for disease-free equilibrium and to address the inherent uncertainties in parameter values, Gaussian fuzzy numbers are incorporated, resulting in a more realistic predictive framework. For solution purposes, the extended residual power series algorithm, which combines the Taylor series with a residual function and an integral transform, is applied. The accuracy of the obtained solutions is assessed by calculating the associated errors. The robustness of the model is further evaluated using r-cut values for lower and upper bounds.A graphical analysis is also performed to examine the influence of different parameters on the solution profiles, enhancing the understanding of disease dynamics. The analysis reveals that the proposed methodology effectively explains the dynamics of epidemic systems and provides new perspectives with potential applications in biology, engineering, and medicine.

Background: Bone marrow (BM) Measurable Residual Disease (MRD) assessments underestimate disease burden in multiple myeloma, as focal lesions can exist outside the marrow. Functional imaging, like positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), offers valuable insights into residual disease beyond the marrow. Combining marrow flow cytometry (FCM) with PET-CT for a composite MRD (cMRD) assessment before and after autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) is expected to provide prognostic information, particularly in settings where patients receive extended duration of anti-myeloma therapy prior to ASCT.

Extended glove usage is crucial in various occupational settings to safeguard workers and maintain hygiene standards. However, prolonged wear creates an occlusive environment that disrupts normal skin evaporation, leading to temporary overhydration. This reversal of the diffusion gradient facilitates the penetration of residual soaps and alcohol from hand hygiene practices, which can deplete skin moisture and cause irritation.

Introduction: Brain metastasis from gastric cancer is rare (0.5%) and often occurs with metastasis to other organs. We herein describe a very rare patient with a solitary brain metastasis from residual gastric cancer with no metastasis to other organs.

For optoelectronic devices based on lead-halide perovskites and other semiconductors, a comprehensive understanding of the electric field influences on the carrier transport characteristics is critical to the optimization of their practical performances. To fulfill this challenging goal, here we have employed photoluminescence spatial image and transient absorption microscopy measurements on an individual CsPbBr microplate biased at external voltages in an Au/CsPbBr/Au device. At the subpicosecond time scale, some photogenerated excitons are dissociated into free electrons and holes that drift toward the electrodes to leave behind unfilled defect sites, which are capable of scattering the residual excitons to yield a reduced diffusion coefficient.

Electrochemical (EC) grooving minimises tool wear and residual stress when machining hard-to-cut tube materials. This study examines how the number of passes and tool feed direction affect material removal rate (MRR) and removed area (RA) in Stellite 21 tubes. Two feed strategies were tested: Unidirectional Electrolyte Flow (UEF), where the tool moves entirely opposite to the electrolyte flow; and Hybrid Electrolyte Flow (HEF), where the tool first moves against and then with the flow direction.
