Introduction: Historically, federal grant terminations have been rare and almost exclusively used in cases of misconduct. Under the current presidential administration, however, grant terminations have been common, with thousands of grants terminated across federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation. Although there have been scattered reports of the impact of these terminations on individual researchers, there has not yet been a systematic investigation of the impact on the overall scientific community.

Purpose: To establish a patient charter that articulates the principles of quality care for individuals living with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), aiming to improve patient outcomes and survival rates globally.
Methods: A multidisciplinary group comprising healthcare professionals, patient advocacy representatives, and policymakers convened to identify the critical areas of unmet need in HCC care. The group shared patient experiences, barriers, and insights - particularly with input from Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) - to better understand the challenges faced by patients.

On May 5, 2023, the WHO declared that the COVID-19 pandemic no longer constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), but SARS-CoV-2 continues to spread and evolve on a global scale. The WHO reported that COVID-19 still poses a threat to humanity, and especially in some areas with large numbers of infected people. For some high-risk COVID-19 patients, such as those with underlying conditions, elderly patients, patients who need long-term immunosuppressive therapy after organ transplantation, patients with immunosuppressive diseases, patients who tend not to test negative for SARS-CoV-2 despite standard antiviral therapy, and cancer patients, special attention is still required after infection with SARS-CoV-2.

Violence against women remains a severe human rights violation and public health challenge across Asia and Oceania, with significant variations in prevalence and response capacity among countries. Despite global frameworks such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and regional initiatives like the ASEAN Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Violence Against Children, implementation gaps hinder effective protection. The Asia-Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) Declaration on Violence Against Women: A Commitment to Action and Change reinforces key commitments across 10 action areas, including recognizing violence against women as a critical issue, advancing international agreements, strengthening regional cooperation, mobilizing stakeholders, empowering healthcare professionals, enhancing comprehensive services, promoting public education, improving healthcare training, supporting research and data collection, and preparing for crisis responses such as pandemics.
