species constitute a diverse group of microorganisms classified as aerobic actinomyces. Among these species, many have been implicated as causative agents of severe human infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients, affecting lungs, skin, and nervous system. Here, we described a rare species, identified as isolated at the Complex Operative Unit of Virology and Microbiology from the subxiphoid formation and pseudonodular formation in the left leg of a 69-year-old immunocompetent patient, who was hospitalized and treated at the Complex Operative Unit of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics of the University Hospital of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" in an antimicrobial diagnostic stewardship context. This rare pathogen was first isolated in 2014 from a bronchoalveolar lavage sample obtained from a lung transplant recipient. Since then, only five cases of clinical interest have been described in literature.

The catastrophic Los Angeles Fires of January 2025 underscore the urgent need to understand the complex interplay between hydroclimatic variability and wildfire behavior. This study investigates how sequential wet and dry periods, hydroclimatic rebound events, create compounding environmental conditions that culminate in extreme fire events. Our results show that a cascade of moisture anomalies, from the atmosphere to vegetation health, precedes these fires by around 6-27 months.

Introduction: Cutaneous scalp metastases from breast carcinoma (CMBC) represent an uncommon manifestation of metastatic disease, with heterogeneous clinical presentations, including nodular or infiltrative lesions and scarring alopecia (alopecia neoplastica). The absence of standardized diagnostic criteria, particularly for alopecic phenotypes, poses challenges to early recognition of CMBC, which may represent either the first indication of neoplastic progression or a late recurrence.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed a multicenter cohort of 15 patients with histologically confirmed CMBC.

Background: The incidence of cancer therapy-related cardiac dysfunction is increasing with the growing number of breast cancer patients. In particular, patients with active cancer combined with severe irreversible cardiac dysfunction present significant challenges in treatment decision-making.
Case Summary: A 40-year-old woman with Stage II HER-2-positive breast cancer received anthracycline followed by HER2-targeted agents.

Ectopia cordis is an exceptionally uncommon congenital condition where the heart develops outside its normal position due to incomplete closure of the ventral chest wall during embryogenesis. The anomaly may occur in isolation or with other structural defects, often resulting in a poor prognosis despite advancements in medical and surgical care. This report discusses a preterm neonate delivered at 33 weeks of gestation following an uneventful pregnancy in a dizygotic twin gestation.

This study aimed to develop a clinical-grade, fully quantitative, and automated tool for pattern classification/quantification (PATQUANT), to evaluate existing grading strategies, and determine the optimal grading system. PATQUANT was trained on a high-quality dataset, manually annotated by expert pathologists.
