Background: Bipolar disorders are amongst the most common, severe and chronic mental health conditions, often associated with unpredictable illness trajectories. Temperament, as a relatively stable however underutilized affective trait in clinical practice, has been proposed as a potential modifier of illness course in BD. The current study sought to classify and examine temperament as a predictive or distinguishing factor in the course of bipolar illness.

Background: Virtual reality (VR) technology has gained much traction related to mental health owing to its interactive features and immersive nature. A systematic bibliometric evaluation is necessary to guide researchers in identifying emerging trends and research priorities in VR technology applications for mental health, highlighting evolving challenges and research needs.
Objective: This study aimed to analyze the bibliometric characteristics and scope of evidence on the application of virtual reality in mental health care, synthesizing findings and exploring potential innovations.

Objective: To analyze the impact of a serious immersive virtual reality game on the physiological and behavioral aspects of pain during peripheral venous access or central catheter puncture in children and adolescents with cancer.
Methods: This was a longitudinal intervention study that included 50 children and adolescents undergoing cancer therapy and peripheral venipuncture or venous catheter puncture (totally implanted or central venous catheter) at two independent time points (control and experimental intervention). The intervention consisted of playing a serious immersive virtual reality game with three-dimensional goggles and a Bluetooth controller.

In confronting the critical challenge of disease outbreak management, health authorities consistently encourage individuals to voluntarily disclose a potential exposure to infection and adhere to self-quarantine protocols by assuring medical care (hospital beds, oxygen, and constant health monitoring) and helplines for severe patients. These have been observed during pandemics; for example, COVID-19 phases in many middle-income countries, such as India, promoted quarantine and reduced stigma. Here, we present a game-theoretic model to elucidate the behavioural interactions in infection disclosure during an outbreak.
