Importance: Recent longitudinal studies in patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) suggested that aneurysm wall enhancement (AWE) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) predicts growth and rupture. However, because these studies were limited by small sample size and short follow-up duration, it remains unclear whether this radiological biomarker has predictive value for UIA instability.
Objective: To determine the 4-year risk of instability of UIAs with AWE and investigate whether AWE is an independent predictor of UIA instability.

In this study, a comprehensive genome-wide identification and analysis of the aldo-keto reductase (AKR) gene family was performed to explore the role of Gossypium hirsutumAKR40 under salt stress in cotton. A total of 249 AKR genes were identified with uneven distribution on the chromosomes in four cotton species. The diversity and evolutionary relationship of the cotton AKR gene family was identified using physio-chemical analysis, phylogenetic tree construction, conserved motif analysis, chromosomal localization, prediction of cis-acting elements, and calculation of evolutionary selection pressure under 300 mM NaCl stress.

Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi, the etiological agent of Typhoid fever, remains a critical public health concern associated with high morbidity in many developing countries. The widespread emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Salmonella Typhi strains against the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics, particularly ciprofloxacin, poses a significant global therapeutic challenge with underlying resistance due to mutations in quinolone-resistance determining region (QRDR) of gyrA gene, encoding DNA gyrase subunit A (GyrA). In pursuit of alternative therapeutic candidates, the present study was designed to evaluate ciprofloxacin analogues against prevalent GyrA mutations (S83F, D87G, and D87N) to overcome fluoroquinolone resistance through machine learning (ML)-based approach.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the diagnostic performance of a combined model incorporating ultrasound video-based radiomics features and clinical variables for distinguishing between benign and malignant breast lesions.MethodsA total of 346 patients (173 benign and 173 malignant) were retrospectively enrolled. Breast ultrasound videos were acquired and processed using semi-automatic segmentation in 3D Slicer.

The global decline in fertility rates highlights the critical need to enhance individuals' fertility intentions. Using the socio-ecological perspective, we reveal a largely overlooked yet crucial socio-ecological factor that influences individuals' fertility intentions. Specifically, we propose that relational mobility serves as a precursor to fertility intention.
