Background: Non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) is a first-line imaging technique for determining treatment options for acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its poor contrast and signal-to-noise ratio limit the diagnosis accuracy for radiologists, and automated AIS lesion segmentation using NCCT also remains a challenge. This study aims to develop a segmentation method for ischemic lesions in NCCT scans, combining symmetry-based principles with the nnUNet segmentation model.

Objective: To develop a novel scoring system-the Stone Impaction Risk Score (SIRS)-based on non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) parameters for preoperative prediction of impacted ureteral stones, and to compare its diagnostic accuracy with three established models: the Impacted Stone Formula (ISF), Wang nomogram, and Qi nomogram.
Methods: A total of 466 adult patients who underwent ureteroscopy for solitary ureteral stones measuring 5-10 mm between January 2019 and January 2025 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 233 patients with impacted stones were matched 1:1 with 233 non-impacted controls.

Functional thoracic MRI provides regional assessment of the three principal components of lung function: ventilation, perfusion, and gas exchange. It offers advantages over pulmonary function tests like spirometry, which yield only global measurements. MRI enables comprehensive evaluation of respiratory mechanics, including chest wall and diaphragm motion, dynamic large airway instability, and lung ventilation using various contrast mechanisms and gas agents.

Background: Using mobile low-field MRI in the emergency department to detect cerebral infarction(s) in patients with minor ischemic stroke (MIS) and transient ischemic attack (TIA) has not yet been thoroughly reported.
Aim: We aimed to evaluate the performance of mobile low-field (0.23T) MRI in detecting acute ischemic infarction in MIS or TIA patients within 72 hours of symptom onset and compare it to CT in those scanned within 24 hours.

Objective: Acute aortic dissection (AD) is a life threatening condition that poses considerable challenges for timely diagnosis. Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) is frequently used to diagnose AD in certain clinical settings, but its diagnostic accuracy can vary among radiologists. This study aimed to develop and validate an interpretable YOLOv8 deep learning model based on non-contrast CT to detect AD.
