Rugby union ('rugby') is a full-contact sport, with previous studies across the globe reporting a high incidence of injury. However, no injury surveillance study of professional male players in Scotland exists in contemporary literature. The current study therefore aimed to describe the incidence, severity, burden and nature of match and training injuries sustained by male professional club rugby players in Scotland.

Background/aim: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and characteristics of orofacial-dental trauma (OT) among 582 child athletes (aged 6-16) in Damascus, Syria.
Material And Methods: Data were collected through structured interviews and a 13-item questionnaire administered between December 2023 and December 2024. The questionnaire included information about demographics, sports participation, injury history (including both soft and hard tissue injuries), mechanisms of injury, and use of protective gear.

Objectives: To compare injury incidences between the 2022/23 season and the preceding five seasons, and between World Cup players and non-World Cup players during the 2022/23 season.
Methods: During the 2022/23 season, 29 teams participated in the Union of European Football Associations Elite Club Injury Study and reported football exposures and injuries prospectively. Injury incidence was compared with that of the five preceding seasons for the full season and for periods before and after the Fédération Internationale de Football Association World Cup 2022.
