Carboxy-terminal tails (CTTs) of tubulin proteins are sites of regulating microtubule function. We previously conducted a genetic interaction screen and identified Kip3, a kinesin-8 motor, as potentially requiring the β-tubulin CTT (β-CTT) for function. Here we use budding yeast to define how β-CTT promotes Kip3 function and the features of β-CTT that are important for this mechanism.

Within a popular seven-dimension framework, applied behavior analysis (ABA) interventions have historically been characterized by a focus on socially important . We propose that an intervention does not truly count as applied until it is being widely used and the world has improved in some meaningful way as a result. This perspective places active dissemination of ABA, with the goal of promoting adoption, on equal footing with other defining features, making it functionally ABA's eighth dimension.

This case report describes the implementation of Family-Centered Care (FCC) and developmental occupational therapy (OT) for an extremely preterm infant born at 22 weeks and one day of gestation, weighing 448 g. The infant experienced multiple complications, including necrotizing enterocolitis, sepsis, intraventricular hemorrhage, and respiratory distress, requiring prolonged intensive care. Due to physiological fragility and immature neurobehavior, a structured rehabilitation approach was introduced, integrating OT and caregiver participation based on FCC principles.
