The objective of this study was to assess the link between postpartum blood loss and placental elastography in multiparous pregnancies. In this prospective study, multiparous women who delivered at term between 2020 and 2024 were included. During the obstetric ultrasonography procedure, placental elastography was evaluated through the utilization of the shear wave elastography (SWE) technique.

Alterations in skeletal muscle morphology and composition are critical factors in cerebral palsy (CP), including changes in passive stiffness and in belly and fascicle lengths. In this study, we quantified the relative contributions of muscle and tendon to passive stiffness across the ankle range of motion in individuals with CP and typically developing (TD) peers. We also investigated morphological factors underlying increased muscle stiffness.

The coexistence of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease (MASLD) gained recognition, but the diagnostic performance of non-invasive markers regarding it remains underexplored. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of the FIB-4 index for fibrosis prediction in CHB patients and investigate its performance in the distinct subgroup of CHB-MASLD. A prospective study from 2021 to 2022 included 109 CHB and 64 CHB-MASLD patients.

Background: Dysregulation of immune responses may influence the progression of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our recent data suggest the role of Th17-related cytokines in fibrosis advancement in MASLD. Herein, we aimed to analyze T-regulatory and Th17-producing T-lymphocytes by flow cytometry with respect to MASLD progression.
