There are limited data regarding photopatch testing (PPT) in Israel. To investigate the prevalence of positive reactions and concurrent diagnosis of patients that underwent PPT in a single center in Israel. Retrospective cohort study that included all patients that were suspected of having contact dermatitis and underwent patch testing with the European baseline series (EBS) and additionally were selectively PPT with the Scandinavian/European baseline photopatch series in a tertiary medical center in Israel (2009-2023).

Objective: In the framework of the Alt-SPF consortium, a large ring study was conducted to evaluate different alternative methods for SPF determination. This paper reports and discusses the results of a new in vitro approach, the Fused Method. The study aimed to determine whether the Fused Method would provide similar SPF results to those obtained using ISO 24444 and whether UVA-PF would be comparable to ISO 24443.

Guangxi Laboratory on the Study of Coral Reefs in the South China Sea, Coral Reef Research Center of China, School of Marine Sciences, Guangxi University, Nanning, 530004, China. Electronic address:

Organic ultraviolet absorbers (OUVs), commonly used in sunscreens and industrial products, have raised growing environmental and health concerns due to their pervasive occurrence in aquatic ecosystems. Conventional analytical techniques, such as liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), offer high sensitivity but are constrained by labor-intensive workflows and extensive solvent use. Here, we present a rapid and portable screening method for seven priority OUVs by integrating a C-modified wooden-tip solid-phase microextraction (SPME) probe with ambient mass spectrometry (AMS).

In this study, we have unveiled an SPR biosensor for highly sensitive and rapid detection of cancerous cells employing 2D materials. The proposed sensor structure introduces a novel approach to cancer cell detection, offering a new perspective in biosensing technology. In other words, specifically, ZnO, SiN and TMDCs based plasmonic sensor structures demonstrate great potential whenever high-accuracy detection of cancerous cells is required.
