Following the publication of the above paper, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that there appeared to be overlapping sections in a pair of the fluorescence reporter assay data panels shown in Fig. 4B; moreover, upon having conducted an independent investigation of the data in this paper in the Editorial Office, one of the data panels shown in this figure was strikingly similar to data that had previously appeared in different form in a paper written by different authors at a different research institute. Owing to the fact that the contentious data in the above article had already been published prior to its submission to s, the Editor has decided that this paper should be retracted from the Journal. The authors were asked for an explanation to account for these concerns, but the Editorial Office did not receive a satisfactory reply. The Editor apologizes to the readership for any inconvenience caused. [Oncology Reports 39: 977‑984, 2018; DOI: 10.3892/or.2017.6156].

Introduction: At times it is necessary to withdraw drugs after they have been approved because of lack of effectiveness or safety concerns. Health Canada does not keep a list of withdrawn drugs.
Objective: The aim of this study was to generate a list of all drugs approved since 1990 and subsequently withdrawn from the Canadian market for safety or effectiveness reasons until the end of 2024.

Large language models (LLMs) have been successfully used for data extraction from free-text radiology reports. Most current studies were conducted with LLMs accessed via an application programming interface (API). We evaluated the feasibility of using open-source LLMs, deployed on limited local hardware resources for data extraction from free-text mammography reports, using a common data element (CDE)-based structure.

This study examined trends in the proportion of adults with self-reported hypertension and in antihypertensive medication use among community-dwelling Australian adults. We analysed data from a longitudinal panel study, covering four waves: 2009 (n = 8023), 2013 (n = 11,475), 2017 (n = 12,843), and 2021 (n = 14,571) for adults aged 18-74 years. Hypertension and antihypertensive medication use were self-reported.

Amid the Ukrainian displacement crisis, private hosting of refugees in Europe has surged, yet its impact on integration remains understudied. This research examines the short- to medium-term effects of private hosting on Ukrainian refugee integration in Germany. Using data from one of the largest non-profit platforms that matches private hosts with refugees, we compare the multidimensional integration outcomes of refugees who were matched with private hosts to those of observably similar refugees who applied for private hosting but were not matched (n = 1,700).

Background: Understanding the mutational landscape is critical for elucidating the molecular mechanisms driving cancer progression. This study aimed to profile somatic mutations in bladder cancer patients (N=7) from Bangladesh to provide insights into the genetic alterations underlying this malignancy.
Methods: We performed targeted sequencing of 50 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes using the Ion AmpliSeq Cancer Hotspot Panel v2 on tumor and matched blood samples from seven bladder cancer patients.
