The ability to induce different potentials in different regions of a (bipolar) electrode could transform applications such as on-demand drug delivery, the electrostimulation of biological cells, the development of advanced electroceuticals, and multi-analyte detection devices where different analytes could be wirelessly detected in different regions of a single sensing surface dramatically simplifying the device design. Here, we demonstrate the use of multiple feeder electrodes to control the electric field distribution in solution thus changing the potential induced in different regions of the bipolar electrode depending on the feeder voltage, polarity and feeder electrode position. The principle is demonstrated for the deposition of films of the conducting polymer, Poly(3,4-EthyleneDiOxyThiophene) (PEDOT), without the need for a physical template to control the regions in which polymer deposits.

Context: This study investigates the radiation tolerance of a SiGe source vertical tunnel field effect transistor (VTFET) under heavy ion-induced single event effects (SEEs). Single event effects (SEEs) occur when high-energy particles interact with semiconductor devices, leading to unintended behavior. The effect of high energy ions on the VTFET is examined for various linear energy transfer (LET) values and at multiple ion hit locations.

Introduction: The study explores shared genetic architecture among major psychiatric disorders-major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder-emphasizing their overlapping molecular pathways. Using public datasets, we identified shared genes and examined their functional implications through protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks and gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA).
Methods: Genes associated with each disorder were identified through the NCBI Gene database.

Background: Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) originating from the infundibular region of the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) may be challenging to ablate due to thin myocardial wall and proximity to the coronary arteries in this region. In such anatomically sensitive regions, the use of radiofrequency (RF) energy may carry a risk of collateral injury or prove ineffective. We present a case report describing successful ablation of infundibular PVCs using pulsed field ablation (PFA).

Evidence on regional muscle excitation within hamstrings remains controversial, primarily because information derived solely from surface electromyograms (sEMG) amplitude does not necessarily provide an accurate estimate of neural drive to the muscle. To address this limitation, this study investigated whether there are proximodistal differences in motor unit properties of the biceps femoris long head during isometric hip extension and knee flexion tasks. Seventeen resistance-trained males performed isometric knee flexion and hip extension tasks at 20 % and 40 % of maximal voluntary contraction.
