Eating disorders are primarily associated with women and an obsession with thinness. Recent research and social media content show that men are also concerned about their body image, striving for a muscular and athletic physique. To investigate eating disorder tendencies among male content creators with a mesomorphic body type (N = 26), a social media analysis was conducted on Instagram and TikTok over four weeks.

Total laryngectomy (TLE) results in the permanent separation of the respiratory and digestive tracts, requiring all airway interventions to occur exclusively via a neck stoma. Although airway obstruction in post-laryngectomy patients is uncommon, it can rapidly become fatal without prompt recognition and understanding of the altered anatomy. Here, we report the case of a patient with a recent TLE for squamous cell carcinoma, who presented to a rural Emergency Department (ED) in acute respiratory distress.

Noble metal nanoparticles (NPs), particularly platinum (Pt), are widely used in heterogeneous catalysis due to their exceptional activity. However, controlling their size and preventing sintering during synthesis remains a major challenge, especially when aiming for high dispersion and stability on supports such as graphene. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) has emerged as a promising method to address these issues, yet conventional processes often lead to broad particle size distributions (PSDs).

Objective: This study investigates the mechanisms behind exercise capacity in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), focusing on central and peripheral components, as described by the Fick equation.
Methods: A cross-sectional study of 141 adults with T2DM was conducted, using cardiopulmonary exercise testing, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and exercise echocardiography. Participants with sufficient-quality NIRS data were stratified into tertiles based on percentage predicted VO₂peak.
