Aims: Non-pharmacological therapies for acute decompensated heart failure (HF) and cardiogenic shock have evolved considerably in recent decades. Short-term mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices can be used as circulatory backup. While nearly all available devices use continuous flow, evidence indicates that pulsatile flow can be more effective.

Objective: Current evaluation of robotic surgeon proficiency relies on subjective assessment. The robotic platform collects highly granular kinematic data on surgeon activity, known as objective performance indicators (OPIs). We sought to compare surgeon proficiency during lobectomies across training levels using OPIs.

Department of Prosthodontics, Oral Science Research Center, Yonsei University Dental College, Seoul, South Korea.
Purpose: Crown preparation is a fundamental procedure in restorative dentistry. This study aimed to evaluate quantitative and color-coded assessment of tooth reduction using various 3D-printed tooth reduction guides in comparison to conventional guiding methods during crown preparation.
Methods: Twelve prosthodontic residents from a single prosthodontic graduate program (first year: n = 6; second year: n = 6) participated in this IRB-approved study (Yonsei University Dental Hospital IRB 2-2024-0026).

Background: Alcohol septal ablation (ASA) is an established therapy for symptomatic hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) in patients unresponsive to medical treatment. However, comprehensive assessment of ASA outcomes remains challenging. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of institutional experience and patient characteristics on achieving complete clinical and haemodynamic response (CCHR), a novel composite outcome integrating long-term symptomatic, haemodynamic, safety, and major clinical endpoints, including survival and resuscitation.

Aims: To help avoid therapeutic inertia, we developed a pragmatic treatment score (QUAD Score) for use in daily practice by healthcare professionals managing patients with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50% and heart failure. We now investigate the association between achieved QUAD scores and 1 year outcomes.
Methods: This was a multicentre cohort study in consecutive patients with incident heart failure and LVEF <50%, who completed therapy titration between January 2021 and June 2023.
