Human exposure to the metal lead (Pb) is prevalent and associated with adverse neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative outcomes. Pb disrupts normal brain function by inducing oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, altering cellular metabolism, and displacing essential metals. Prior studies on the molecular impacts of Pb have examined bulk tissues, which collapse information across all cell types, or in targeted cells, which are limited to cell autonomous effects. These approaches are unable to represent the complete biological implications of Pb exposure because the brain is a cooperative network of highly heterogeneous cells, with cellular diversity and proportions shifting throughout development, by brain region, and with disease. New technologies are necessary to investigate whether Pb and other environmental exposures alter cell composition in the brain and whether they cause molecular changes in a cell-type-specific manner. Cutting-edge, single-cell approaches now enable research resolving cell-type-specific effects from bulk tissues. This article reviews existing Pb neurotoxicology studies with genome-wide molecular signatures and provides a path forward for the field to implement single-cell approaches with practical recommendations.

Purpose Of The Review: This review aimed to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the management of obesity and endometriosis, with a focus on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean and Ketogenic diets, as well as nutritional supplementation. Additionally, it highlights the central role of the clinical nutritionist in implementing individualized, evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary care.
Recent Findings: Although the literature reports the existence of an inverse relationship between risk of endometriosis and body mass index, clinical evidence jointly reports that a condition of obesity is associated with greater disease severity.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the comparative effects of brown rice, meal replacements, and thiazolidinediones on mitochondrial abundance and gut microbiota composition in a rat model of diet-induced obesity.
Methods And Materials: A total of twenty male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to five groups: control, high-fat high-fructose diet, and three intervention groups receiving the same obesogenic diet supplemented with brown rice, meal replacement, or thiazolidinediones for twelve weeks.

The application of nanoscale metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in tissue engineering is receiving increased attention. Motivation: Advances in high-throughput technologies have shifted the focus from bulk to single cell or spatial transcriptomic and proteomic analysis of tissues and cell cultures. The resulting increase in gene and/or protein lists leads to the subsequent growth of up- and downregulated pathways lists. This trend creates the need for pathway-network based integration strategies that allow quick exploration of shared and distinct mechanisms across datasets.
