Background: Little is documented on key community-based One Health (OH) approach implementation, pro-activeness and effectiveness of interactions and strategies against Mpox outbreak public health emergency in international concern (PHEIC) in various African countries in order to stamp out the persisting Mpox outbreak threat and burden. Prioritizing critical community-based interventions and lessons learned from previous COVID-19, Mpox, Ebola, COVID-19, Rift Valley Fever and Marburg virus outbreaks revealed critical shortcomings in funding, surveillance, and community engagement that plague public health initiatives across the continent. The article provides critical insights and benefits of community-based One Health approaches implementation against Mpox outbreak management in Africa.

Despite advances in genomic diagnostics, the majority of individuals with rare diseases remain without a confirmed genetic diagnosis. The rapid emergence of advanced omics technologies, such as long-read genome sequencing, optical genome mapping and multiomic profiling, has improved diagnostic yield but also substantially increased analytical and interpretational complexity. Addressing this complexity requires systematic multidisciplinary collaboration, as recently demonstrated by targeted diagnostic workshops.

Sarcoidosis often manifests with pulmonary involvement, making isolated extrapulmonary presentations rare and diagnostically challenging. We present the case of a 43-year-old woman who presented with prolonged fever, deep lymphadenopathy, massive splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and severe hypercalcemia, mimicking malignancy. The diagnosis of sarcoidosis was established after the failure of anti-tubercular therapy, exclusion of differential diagnosis, and the subsequent development of cutaneous sarcoids.
