Cardiothoracic surgery, demanding in nature, often results in surgeons suffering from musculoskeletal injuries, causing chronic pain and leading to premature retirement. A significant majority report experiencing pain, exacerbated by minimally invasive techniques such as video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. Despite this, many surgeons delay seeking medical assistance. To mitigate these risks, preventative strategies such as strength exercises, stretching during operations, and taking brief breaks are crucial. However, the surgical community faces a shortage of institutional support and comprehensive ergonomic education. Advancements in technology, including artificial intelligence and virtual reality, could offer future solutions.

Background: Spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy by robotic surgery is a safe and feasible surgical technique. Currently, spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy represents an alternative to the classical distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy, in the case of benign and low-grade malignant diseases of the body or pancreas tail. The reasons for preserving the spleen are based on the reduction of postoperative complications, such as post-splenectomy infections, subphrenic abscess, portal thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, thrombocytosis, and thromboembolism.

This work presents the development of a highly sensitive, selective, and efficient aptamer-based fluorescent sensor for detecting cortisol in human urine. Carbon quantum dots-nucleic acid aptamer (CQDs-Apt) synthesized with excellent photoluminescent properties and stability, were selected as the fluorescent probe. In the presence of MoS-NSs, CQDs-Apt adsorbed onto the surface of MoS-NSs via electrostatic and π-π interactions, leading to strong and rapid fluorescence quenching due to static quenching mechanism between them.

The bony consolidation of fractures depends on various factors. Under optimal conditions fracture healing takes place within a few weeks. An essential requirement for fracture healing is the restoration of adequate biomechanical stability with an interfragmentary movement which is as ideal as possible.

Objective: To demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of intraluminal endoscopic treatment of patients with adenomas of the major duodenal papilla and familial adenomatous polyposis.
Material And Methods: Over the past 4 years, 13 patients with adenomas of the major duodenal papilla and familial adenomatous polyposis underwent surgery in our hospital. Of these, 7 patients had exclusively extrapapillary adenomas without signs of spread to the ducts.

Liraglutide is a key therapeutic agent in managing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), with benefits extending beyond glycemic control to address cardiovascular and renal comorbidities. As T2DM prevalence rises globally, the need for medications that provide comprehensive health benefits becomes increasingly important. Liraglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing cardiovascular events, especially among patients with high cardiovascular risk, such as those with a prior history of myocardial infarction or stroke.
