Rationale And Objectives: Managing contrast reactions is critical as contrast reactions can be life-threatening and unpredictable. Institutions need an effective system to handle these events. Currently, there is no standard practice for assigning trainees, radiologists, non-radiologist physicians, or other non-physician providers for management of contrast reaction.
Materials And Methods: The Association of Academic Radiologists (AAR) created a task force to address this gap. The AAR task force reviewed existing practices, studied available literature, and consulted experts related to contrast reaction management. The Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD) members were surveyed using a questionnaire focused on staffing strategies for contrast reaction management.
Results: The task force found disparities in contrast reactions management across institutions and healthcare providers. There is a lack of standardized protocols for assigning personnel for contrast reaction management.
Conclusion: The AAR task force suggests developing standardized protocols for contrast reaction management. The protocols should outline clear roles for different healthcare providers involved in these events.

The surface structure of an electrocatalyst plays a crucial role in determining the activity. As a model system, gold has been widely investigated as an electro-oxidation catalyst, although there has been much less research on the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in the potential region of gold oxidation. Here, we combine voltammetric scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), at different spatial and angular resolutions, respectively, to correlate the local crystallographic structure of polycrystalline goldfocusing on grains close to (113), (011), (114), and (111) orientationswith the electrocatalytic behavior for the OER.

In this contribution, Molecular Electron Density Theory (MEDT) is employed to investigate the (3 + 2) cycloaddition reaction between ()--methyl--(2-furyl)-nitrone 1 and but-2-ynedioic acid 2. DFT calculations at the M06-2X-D3/6-311+G(d,p) level of theory under solvent-free conditions at room temperature show that this reaction proceeds CA3-Z diastereoselectivity, with the formation of the CA3-Z cycloadduct being both thermodynamically and kinetically more favoured than the CA4-Z one. Reactivity parameters obtained from CDFT calculations reveal that compound 1 predominantly behaves as a nucleophile with moderate electrophilic features, in contrast to compound 2, which demonstrates strong electrophilicity and limited nucleophilic ability.

Topochemical reduction of the n = 2 Ruddlesden-Popper oxide, LaSrCoRuO, yields LaSrCoRuO, a phase containing (Co/Ru)O squares which share corners to form 1D infinite double-chains. In contrast, fluorination of LaSrCoRuO yields the oxyfluoride LaSrCoRuOF, which can then be reduced to form LaSrCoRuOF. This reduced oxyfluoride is almost isoelectronic with LaSrCoRuO, but LaSrCoRuOF has a crystal structure in which the (Co/Ru)O squares are connected into 2D infinite sheets.

During early pregnancy in mice, leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) regulates embryo implantation by activating the JAK/STAT3 signaling pathway. The STAT3 pathway has been recognized to play a critical role in embryo implantation; however, it remains unclear whether STAT3 activation alone is sufficient to induce implantation. In this study, we investigated the effects of RO8191, a potential STAT3 activator, on embryo implantation through a series of studies with different mouse models.
